Spelthorne Leisure Centre

Spelthorne Borough Councils Leisure Centre, once completed will  be the UK’s largest wet and dry leisure centre to achieve Passivhaus, and the first in London.

The facility will provide multiple pools,  a large café, luxury Spa, court sports hall, Squash courts, studios and a state of the art Spin Studio, a 200 station gym, a climbing zone, a soft play area, a flexible multiuse space, pitches on the roof, rooftop community garden space, and cycle trails to connect to the local park.

As the appointed lead carbon consultants for the Wilmott Dixon ‘Now Or Never: Brilliant Building’s’ Initiative Sustainable Construction Services have undertaken the Whole Life Carbon reporting during the design stage.

The study included option appraisals for a range of materials, encouraging opportunities to further reduce carbon and additional scenarios to investigate the potential impact that Passivhaus design might have on WLC.

Sustainable Construction Services will complete the Whole Carbon as-built Assessment once the project nears completion.
