Project Norwood is a new 100,000 sq foot office block over 6 floor for the insurance company Zurich in Swindon.
SCS were appointed as BREEAM Assessor and BREEAM AP during construction stage.
BREEAM Excellent was achieved and some of the sustainable measures implemented were:
- Specification of internal finishes with low VOC emissions.
- Provision of adequate view out and daylighting to occupied spaces.
- Sustainable transport measures to promote cycling to work and provision of new accessible amenities within the building to minimise the travel.
- Water fittings with a low flow rate.
