Hazelbridge Cottage, Surrey

Hazelbridge Cottage, somewhat misleadingly named, is an impressive contemporary family home that was constructed to replace the original structure that previously occupied the site. This modern build has a number of outstanding features, including a stylish loft bar perfect for entertaining guests and a thoughtfully designed guest suite that offers comfort and privacy.

In our role on this project, we provided essential support through a comprehensive thermal comfort assessment, which evaluated how well the space would maintain comfortable temperatures for its occupants. Additionally, we performed thermal bridging calculations to identify any potential areas where heat loss could occur, helping to enhance the home’s energy efficiency.

Our team also carried out SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure) calculations and energy performance evaluations, ensuring that the building meets stringent environmental standards and delivers optimal energy use.

Thermal bridging considerations were also key in this design to assist with the protection of the building fabric and to for thermal performance. Avoidance of condensation was also considered in the support we provided.
