Client:

Timber Forestry Commissioning Office

We are working with Powell Dobson and Natural Resources Wales on their mission to decarbonise all of their offices across Wales, starting with the Timber Forestry Commission Office.

The project involves the refurbishment of the Timber Forestry Commissioning Office in Resolven, Neath in south Wales. The refurbishment was targeting EnerPHit standards and low carbon.

The project is the first step on transforming all Natural Resource Wales offices across Wales to Zero Carbon Buildings.

SCS have recently completed the Stage 3 embodied carbon assessment following RICS PS methodology, aligning with the LETI scope of works.

Additionally, SCS have been appointed to complete an analysis of the operational energy performance in line with CIBSE TM54 standard.

The work undertaken predicted the operational energy performance of the building using a “Central Case” energy model and simulating it through additional scenarios.
