Cowlyn Bay Community & Watersport Centre was the initial phase of a development plan aimed at revitalizing the Colwyn Bay seafront. The building consists of community space, sailing, and commercial facilities and is located on newly reclaimed land along the seafront.
The development was subject to strict planning constraints, including the need for BREEAM design certification before commencing construction and BREEAM as-built certification before the building could be occupied.
Additionally, there is a requirement to meet renewable energy targets of 20%. All certification targets were met with support from us, allowing the main contractor to begin construction on schedule.
Furthermore, support has been provided to help commercial tenants implement future environmental requirements through Green Lease specifications.
