The £7.9 million indoor sports complex, delivered by Speller Metcalfe, has replaced the former sports dome and occupies the same footprint.
The new Chellaram Sports Complex features a multi-purpose floor that accommodates three netball courts, three tennis courts, 12 badminton courts, three basketball courts, and 10 cricket lanes. Additionally, the complex includes a bouldering wall, an indoor hockey pitch, space for touch rugby, and several table tennis tables.
Designed to significantly reduce energy consumption, the sports hall meets current energy efficiency and sustainability standards, achieving BREEAM Excellent in alignment with the college’s sustainability strategy.
