The project consists in the construction of a new Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) to train 3,000 students a year.
A collaborative project between the University of Bolton, Bolton College, Bolton NHS Foundation Trust and Bolton Council, IMS will contribute into clinical healthcare employment, with a focus on practical, skills-based learning in a live hospital environment.
Willmott Dixon were appointed as main contractor who engaged SCS as BREEAM Consultant to provide Assessor and AP services.
SCS joined the project at RIBA Stage 3 picking up the assessment from a previous BREEAM Assessor.
SCS worked closely with the design team and contractor to re-evaluate the BREEAM work completed to ensure that it was completed to a satisfactory level to comply with BREEAM requirements.
The project has been certified at Design Stage achieving a Very Good rating with a score of 60.7%.
