We were appointed during Stage 4 to complete the BREEAM works under Galliford Try on the new video conferencing suite located within the active category B prison, HMP Wormwood Scrubs.
Located in central London, HMPPS commissioned the new build of state-of-the-art video conferencing suites within the existing prison, promoting new ways of working with the Judiciary whilst embracing advancements in video technology.
We worked with Galliford Try to identify gaps in historic evidence from prior to SCS’ involvement and rectify inherited compliance issues, ensuring alignment with both the BREEAM requirements and the MoJ’s minimum standards for major new-build projects.
Our work led the project to secure BREEAM Excellent at Design Stage, with ongoing work to guide the contracting team to BREEAM Excellent as part of the as built stage assessment.
